Solitude in the Foothills (2019)
For this photo essay, I aimed to capture the solitude of the Winterscapes in the Alberta Foothills. These photos were shot in the morning to describe the significant role that light plays on this terrain. Not only did I find beautiful scenes in this the area, but also the fascinating places that can be found within this large area. These places can be farms, residences, wildlife areas, and even wildlife sanctuaries. My goal was to capture these areas in a similar manner with light, colour, and composition. Despite the vast land area that is Alberta, these places are in close proximity to one another. I hope that my images capture the way that winter impacts these spaces. These photos represent an integral part of what Alberta is.
