About Tate
Tate Fox is a conceptual artist from Calgary/Mohkinstis and residing in Vancouver/ the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh peoples. She is a multidisciplinary artist, currently focusing on printmaking, painting, and photography. Tate recieved a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Studies at the University of Calgary in 2023. Her art practice addresses challenges associated with mental health and the ways in which humans cope and heal. As her work examines the inner challenges that occurs when dealing with mental health issues, she often addresses specific issues concerning grief, depression, anxiety, and the process of healing and recovery. Tate gains a great deal of inspiration from the natural world which can be seen in her work and informs her artistic research.
